It's a well-known fact that cats love tuna and catnip.Based on this,we've combined these two ingredients to develop this delicious and healthy homemade cat treat. This treat requires only three ingredients, two of which are likely to be found in your kitchen—if you have a cat, you'll usually have catnip on hand.To make it,thoroughly mix all ingredients, then pipe into any desired shape(it's recommended to use a dedicated piping bag,and this bag should not be used for human food preparation afterward,as the tuna smell may linger).

Preparation Parameters
-Preparation Time:15 minutes
-Baking Time:20 minutes
-Total Time:35 minutes
-Yield:122 servings
Ingredients
-2 cans of 5 oz(approx.140g)canned tuna in oil(drained)*
-2 egg whites
-1 teaspoon dried catnip
Instructions
Step 1:Preparation
Preheat oven to 325°F(approx.163°C).Line a large baking pan with parchment paper or a silicone mat and set aside.
Step 2:Whisk the Egg Whites
In a large bowl, combine the egg whites and whisk with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form(the peaks should stand upright when the mixer is lifted).
Step 3:Combine the Ingredients

In a food processor or blender, combine the tuna,1/4 cup of whisked egg whites, and dried catnip.Cover and blend until smooth(continue running until the mixture reaches the desired consistency). Then, gently fold the tuna mixture into the remaining whisked egg whites, mixing until fully incorporated, being careful not to overmix and deflate the egg whites.
Step 4:Pipe the Shapes
Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a 1/4 to 1/2-inch round or star nozzle.Pipe shapes approximately 3/4 inches in diameter onto the prepared baking pan.

Step 5:Baking and Cooling
Place the baking tray in a preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes,or until the treats are dry and can be easily removed from the baking paper or silicone mat. After removing from the oven, allow to cool completely before storing.
Tips
*Ingredient Selection Notes:Please use chunks of tuna, not tuna flakes.Experience has shown that tuna flakes are softer and have a higher moisture content, making them difficult to bake through, affecting the taste and shelf life.
Storage Method
Transfer the completely cooled cat treats to an airtight container and store at room temperature.Shelf life is up to one month.
